Default Dictionary for dummies

Hi, I play this game primarilaly with my son as I am an every other weekend dad. He lives 300 km away, we play several hours a week together and this game is a great way to hang.
But I am 40, new to online gaming and need help with terms, even though I figured out what a noob is right away. smirk,
Help me out with terms from PWN to farming to whatever.
Thanks

ive never been too sure about the term Pwn or Pwned. the only hypothesis i can come up with is that the P is right next to the O key and that "Pwn" means the same as "Own" which means to completely dominate something. So i guess that the constant typos eventually stuck and became a trend.
Also "WOOT" or "We Owned the Other Team" is another acronym that uses the term Owned.

kinda like teh is on the verge of being accepted as "cute" when it is just a typo of the word "the".. And that just opens up a whole new form of "cute and cuddly" speech which was derived from those stupid funny cat or "kitteh" pics which are another trend of online humor. IMHO they annoy the crap out of me just because of their sheer numbers.

Your pretty much right there. Some game(I can't remember the name of the game.) accidently shipped with it saying pwned instead of owned and it kinda caught on.

To the op, I just want to say thank you for being an active parent! Its always refreshing to see a parent taking an active role in thier children's lives. Most people are pretty nice about explaining any "net speak" they are using if you ask, sometimes you'll get the idiot who starts screaming NOOB but thats what the ignore list is for .
